This past Saturday I attended the Beadfest convention at the Valley Forge Convention Center with two of my good friends, Liz and Sally who are both jewelry artists and designers(LizRevit.com)and(Wireworked by SMR Designs). We had an absolutely great day! The convention is always so exciting and really gets you into the groove and those creative juices start flowing when you see all the vendors and the designers and the atmosphere is just electric! We found some really great deals ....sparkling strands of crystals and pearls and new jewelry accents to add to your new creations.......
.....and I had the opportunity to take my first class with Joan Babcock! Her jewelry is fabulous and she is by far my favorite micro-macrame' jewelry artist! We made a micro-macrame, fiber bead bracelet which was a delightful project to do! Thanks to Joan and her husband Jeff...they are both wonderful teachers and are patient, kind, helpful and really made everyone feel right at home! The class was a great success. Here are some pics...That's Joan on the bottom front left with some students in class....
Everyone is working on their bead.....
Jeff Babcock......
And Joan's jewelry.
Here is my bracelet...a work in progress and will be finished this coming weekend! Everything was just the best and I enjoyed every minute of it! Take care all!

A whirlwind of luck......
It's been quite interesting lately....I've had some really good luck!! I recently did a online survey and to my complete surprise I won a $ 50.00 gift package from Jolees jewels containing a beautiful assortment of jewelry-making supplies and tools!I was thrilled and shocked to say the least! I have won things before, but it comes few and far between. Next I went to the Mohican Sun Casino one Saturday evening and won some cash on the penny machines....now I know I am on a roll!
I am also a "BIG" fan of Nancy Peterson and her fabulous jewelry designs, have purchased kits and patterns from her and follow her blog Beading from the Heart. Nancy had a design published in the August/September issue of Beadwork Magazine. It is the Pretty Picots necklace and is just stunning. She had a celebration giveaway for having her first design published and I was the "LUCKY WINNER" of that beautiful necklace!!!! Thank you ever so much Nancy...It is spectacular! And I will be wearing it this week at work and will receive many many compliments for sure!Three wonderful surprises in a row....How can you beat that! Have a great day....and ENTER EVERYTHING! I did!

a token of friendship......
The pipe cleaners are at it again! A friend that I work with lost her Father to cancer just recently. It's been a busy time and I wanted to do something for her and rather than real flowers I created a "pipe cleaner" flower arrangement. It was so much fun to do. She was thrilled to say the least and I was so happy to see her smile and enjoy them! Overall it was a good creative experience. They make me smile too! Now I am ready to create more.....just love those pipe cleaners!
