Origami in NYC.....

On December 27th I drove into NYC to go and enjoy the Holiday fanfare that is so popular this time of year. The weather was perfect...54 degrees with sunny skies. My friend Kathy and I decided to take in the American Museum of Natural History where Origami USA displays a tree every year for Christmas with a different theme, which this year is animals..Origami A to Z.It was spectacular to see and was the first time for me. TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!! Kathy and I were just amazed at all the models on display. I was sooooo thrilled to be able to do this and want to share these pics with you! The museum.....

Christmas in July at Home Again

We had a great time at our Christmas in July show at Home Again, which featured several well-known artists from the area. I had the pleasure of exhibiting some of my new Christmas origami ornaments and jewelry. My favorite ornaments were the folded Christmas packages that sold like wildfire.

My friend Liz Revit also attended the show, and she had a variety of crafty goods ranging from mixed-media art, greeting cards, and jewelry. The picture above shows some of Liz's artwork. Love those cupcake paintings!

Christine Altmann had a great display of her artwork.......she is the "Queen of Halloween" and it shows with her fantastic art and stories and poems to go with it.
